The Dirty Nil is a high-energy rock band from Hamilton, Ontario, formed in 2006 in nearby Dundas, known for their raw, unapologetic punk-infused rock 'n' roll that blends loud guitars, pounding drums, and sharp, witty lyrics with a no-holds-barred attitude. The power trio consists of singer and guitarist Luke Bentham, drummer Kyle Fisher, and bassist Anthony Vitanza, delivering fast-paced, riff-heavy songs that capture the reckless spirit of youth, heartbreak, and everyday chaos with both humor and sincerity. Since bursting onto the scene with their early singles and EPs, the band has built a strong reputation for explosive live shows that leave audiences exhausted and exhilarated. They earned national recognition by winning the Juno Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year in 2017 and have released a string of critically acclaimed albums including Higher Power, Master Volume, Fuck Art, Free Rein to Passions, and their latest record The Lash in 2025.
