Lisa Cooke Ravensbergen is a multi-disciplinary theatre artist, writer, dramaturge, and scholar of Ojibwe/Swampy Cree and English/Irish descent, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her work spans performance, playmaking, curation, and research, often exploring Indigenous storytelling, community engagement, and cultural reclamation. Lisa is an Associate Artist with Full Circle: First Nations Performance and collaborates widely across Turtle Island, contributing as a performer, writer, and theatre creator. Her practice integrates traditional narratives, contemporary theatre techniques, and scholarly inquiry to examine themes of identity, social justice, and collective memory. She is also a dedicated mentor and educator, guiding emerging artists and supporting Indigenous voices in the arts. Through her multifaceted work, Lisa creates spaces for dialogue, reflection, and transformation, combining artistry, intellect, and activism to engage audiences and communities in meaningful cultural experiences.
